Podere Torricella farmhouse is located in the heart of  Tuscany, in Val d’Era, only a few kilometers north of  the beautiful hill town of  Volterra. The farmhouse was built on an ancient watermill,  the ruins of which can still be seen today. The farmhouse is situated in the typical Tuscan countryside and represents an  ideal starting point for hiking,  mountain biking, or auto touring.

The young owner lives on the property itself and he is a helpful and gracious host. He really takes care of his guests.

The farmhause enjoys a favorable position because it is conveniently  located at the intersection of S. Ottaviano Road and SS 439 Dir. Road.

It is only 4.5 Kilometers from Volterra, which you reach by driving along S. Ottaviano Road. On that drive you can see one of the finest surrounding landscapes in Tuscany, going across the  Etruscan Necropolis. You will enter the town of Volterra from the Etruscan Porta Diana and the Roman Porta Fiorentina.

With only one hour’s drive you can reach the most important cities of the region, such as Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Siena, San Gimignano and Livorno, and beyond to the  bathing beaches of  the Etruscan Coast and of the Versilia (Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi).
